The guy is just going to keep on beating a dead horse with this. He doesn't like the edit. We get it. Find a new topic to talk about already.

They're two wholly different situations.
Again, I never saw it that way before and after the change. You're letting Lucas say that he changed the characterization color your perception of the scene.

So he killed some of the Imperialist with a blaster, but then stunned others with a blaster aswell? Maybe that's just what happens when you shot Stormtrooper armor?
He stunned two troopers because he didn't want to damage the armor, since Obi-wan's plan was for them to wear the armor and walk around the Death Star. When that wasn't important, they shot and killed Imperials. It's not that difficult to understand.

Of course Han shot first in that version too-and has female companionship!
The guy was used when the scenes were originally filmed and one of the LFL employees were used in the re-shoots.

I have heard of a change being made to the DVD release of AOTC -- To avoid making Mace look like a murderer, they have now added a "Jango Decapitates First" scene. In this new scene, Jango picks up a fallen Jedi's saber and chops Mace's head off. Then, as Mace's body flops to the ground, his still-ignited saber ACCIDENTALLY decapitates Jango. Then Artoo comes along and reattaches Mace's head, while Mace makes several corny jokes about being headless.
