Default Info About Scott Snyder' The Wake

    http://geek-news.mtv.com/2013/02/05/the-wake-vertigo/

Okay, we got some more information about the comic and an actual release date. I wonder if this means May will be the date when all the new Vertigo stuff hits? Can't wait regardless!

I'm there, I just hope this is better than his superhero stuff.

When I saw this title in the Vertigo forum, I thought Snyder was going to do something that branches off of The Sandman. I am relieved now that it is just another sci fi epic that explores the horrors of space, origins of humanity, yada yada yada.

I am sort of interested though. I can at least try some issues but I have been burned by Vertigo epics before. I still stare at all my DMZ volumes thinking "this is your big ending? Do you feel no shame?"

But if done well, this could be really cool.

Well, American Vampire is superior to his Batman work--Black Mirror not included. And considering Snyder and Murphy's last collaboration American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest, I think it's safe to say The Wake will be superb.

I really hope this is some of Synder's strongest work, paired with Murphy it could be a modern Vertigo classic.
