Brian Michael Bendis: The Emma Frost thing is very interesting. This is the most controversial character amongst all X-fans. This is really fascinating. Avengers fans never did this to me, but every X-Men fan does. When they want to show me something about a character, they come at me with a visual aid. They cut out a panel or a page and either e-mail it to me or post it on my Twitter. It’s like they’re a lawyer with evidence. You would think that Daredevil fans would do this but it’s X-Men fans. I’ve only been the X-Men writer for three months and this must have happened about 50 times. They’re always trying to show me something about Emma. “Emma did this; Emma said that. Emma’s a b-word because she did this. Emma’s the best hero in the world because she did this.”

God I hope someone here sent him the panels of Emma setting Butter Rum on fire.

It creates a great thing that you’ll see in the second issue, where she sometimes projects her thoughts without realizing that she’s doing it. On top of not being able to read other people’s thoughts, every once in a while she projects her own thoughts out without knowing about it until she’s done it.

Nothing all that special here. I don't like that Scott and Emma are broken up, and I'll hold out hope that they get back together later during Bendis' run (or perhaps when he's gone). He seems to have an okay grasp on everyone, and I've either liked or been indifferent to what I've heard so far, so I'm happy.

I do like that her telepathy is broken and not gone though. It begs the question of why she doesn't just permanently stay in diamond form to prevent herself from accidentally using her telepathy to project her thoughts. Maybe she can't control that either, or she's accidentally using her telepathy while in diamond form?
