Default Is there a website that offers a quick overview of ongoing story arcs?

I am a bit tired of doing research every time I am interested in pick up a comic book, so my question:

Is there any central website that overs a quick overview if an ongoing series is in a story arc - including the information when it started and when it will end?

This would be a great help for any comic book reader who don't want to spend hours in research every time I am thinking about picking up an ongoing. Sure, there are some great resources for information about comics but no simple table or "timeline" of the actual story arcs of the ongoings. Plain and simple: It starts here, it will end there / or: it is still going on.

Any ideas? I did not find any so far by myself.

Courtesy bump. Because I am back into collecting too, and would like to know the answer to this question. If there is one.

If there is no one maybe some webmaster dudes should think about to create one. I am sure it will attract some solid traffic and bring up Adsense Dollars because it really sucks big time to read all the reviews and browse so many comic community pages just to get a basic idea where to jump on or off in the recent ongoings. Just a simple time table: Where donI stand if I buy this one? Wow, that would be helpful. Can not imagine that there is no one?

naaah, I guess everybody knows comicvine. I am looking for a straight and clean overview of current story arcs in ongoing series - without research or wiki's or database, just plain and simple the current releases and where the current story started an when it will end.

I've always thought comics do a piss poor job at marketing their product. This is especially true with indy comics where often a cover shot does nothing to describe what the comic is about. You really need to hunt down specific reviews.
A site that provides a brief description really would be helpful.
