I'm assuming the heavy-duty soviet construction of the probe...able to withstand the furnace temperature, crushing pressure, and who-knows-what kind of radiation of the venusian surface...is mechanically and electronically armored against micro-locks.

But what is the probe doing to a car that can smash undamaged through damn near anything except for the Goliath truck? KITT has heaps of feats for trivially smashing through reinforced concrete walls, and I would not bet against KITT overriding 50's era tech rather trivially. KITT also packs a laser that can do a fair amount of damage.
