People rave so much about this story and how well it's written (as they most certainly should!) that they neglect to describe just how impressive the art is (especially the coloring) and how it's perfect for the story. The art is more nearly impressionistic than realistic, and that is exactly right for a story about memory and illusion. Things are blurred a bit in their depiction, just as everything is rather blurry in how it's perceived by the characters in the story. A first-rate achievement by Mr. Kindt as writer **and** illustrator! I hope the movie (assuming it gets made) follows this same approach to the visuals.
