I think that by early Marvel you should restrict yourself to up to early 70's, late 70's at the most, but here it goes (in no particular order):
Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Don Heck, John Buscema, Sal Buscema, John Romita, Barry Windsor Smith, Jim Steranko, Gene Colan, George Tuska, Gil Kane, Ross Andru, Dave Cockrum, Jim Starlin, Neal Adams, Tom Palmer, George Perez, Joe Sinnott, John Byrne, Bob Layton, Michael Golden, Paul Gulacy, Kerry Gammill, Keith Giffen, Mike Zeck, John Romita Jr and, though I'm sure a lot of people would disagree with me, when teamed with SOME specific artists, Vinnie Colleta.
At the top of their games, those guys could teach a lot to the prima donnas superstars of nowadays, especially when it comes to work ethics and professionalism.

    Peace

PS: And I'm sure I must have left out some guys that I shouldn't have.

In the first 10 years, pretty much all of those guys were excellent.

Bill Everett, Ross Andru, Gil Kane, Wally Wood, Jim Mooney, Sal Buscema, Gene Colan (I don't really think modern times give those guys the proper respect) Barry Windsor Smith, George Tuska, Joe Sinnott, John Buscema, Steve Ditko, John Romita, Jim Steranko.
