Default Xtreme X Men vol 0 by CC + SL featuring Technet, mutants, Scots (aka FF vol 3)

Due to a CONSPIRACY by Marvel not to release this digitally, as an omnibus, or even as a TPB, I have never read this series. However it's obvious from it's credentials that it is one of the high points of modern comics, and led the way for XXM vol 1.

Here is a scan from top blog http://clarmindcontrol.blogspot.co.uk/ suggesting that my beloved tropes are in place:

Here are Excalibur faves, the Technet

    And Och! Claremazons!

In conclusion, please buy me these comics and then PM me to get my postage address.

I've never read it either, all my knowledge of Caledonia is 2nd hand. :(

I really should PAD-steal this since Marvel obviously doesn't want my money...

Oh god oh god oh god. Thank god we had Claremont to teach us the English language. These kids are totally illiterate.

Wow, thanks for referring to my lil' ol' hobby as a top blog :-)

The Claremont Larocca FF wasn't all that bad. Okay, well. It wasn't especially good either. It was like day old meatloaf. Familiar, but a little stale and dry and overall done to death.

Of course, Claremont had to hit the ground running, considering his run wasn't planned. At first Scott Lobdell and Alan Davis would write and draw FF, but they walked after three issues citing 'creative differences'. Thankfully there hasn't been any difference in Claremont's creative process for years now. So once he dealt with most of the dangling plot threads, FF became an X-book of sorts. With Excalibur villains the Technet dropping in, Roma the Omniversal Guardian having an interest in Franklin, Archangel's cop ex-girlfriend Charlotte Jones dropping by... and that was just in the first year! Year two brought Selene and the Hellfire Club, then the FF fought Ronan on the moon before embarking on a months long journey across space and time, with mind control and body morphing wherever they turned. And as for his third year on the job, he had a Celestial lock Reed inside Doom's armor and... Well, know what?

In lieu of Marvel putting out these issues in trade, why not check the write ups I did on them way back when. Yes, its long, overly wordy and pretty self explanatory when you look at the art. What do you want from me, I grew up on Claremont comics ;)

For the fantastic mind control misadventures on the Moon and beyond, click HERE
For the fun stuff Reed did trapped inside Doom's armor, click HERE
For the time Claremont had an Arab villain called Jihad attack New York in a FF comic cover dated September 2001, click HERE

Here endeth the shameless self promotion...

Hooray. You are my poster of the month for February.

Your blog is great. All the important X Men critical thinkers are aware of it.

btw, speaking of mindcontrol, can you do some entries on Nazi Sue Storm from Exiles? I know that she was naturally evil, but I vaguely recall her enslaving others.

Nazi Sue from Exiles? Hmm... Can't seem to recall that. I guess you're thinking of Madame Hydra Sue, who killed half of Earth, took Wolverine for a lover and escaped into the omniverse to become the (New) Exiles archenemy? Must be fate, I just posted that one yesterday: http://clarmindcontrol.blogspot.nl/2...iles-mind.html

Excellent. And more entries on Sage and Storm defying degradation are always welcome.

Y'know, thé most popular entry on the blog is the first part of the Sage Saga, detailling all the times Claremont toyed with Tessa. And it's actually a little beyond me why such a minor character is so popular with comics fans. Any ideas?

I'm guessing 99% of those page hits are from the CBR X boards
