No new Punisher says Marvel

Very true The Punisher is the A list of the B list characters of marvel like Moon knight Ghost Rider Electra even more so than Deadpool I would argue

The Punisher just needs as shown by Rucka that he can be an interesting great read and thus needs a good writer that UNDERSTANDS franks character

But Rucka did not get the title selling


but Ennis did

For my vote let Jonathan Maberry write the Punisher he has a great understanding of what makes Frank tick

I will say Marvel has pretty much bankrupt the Punisher now, perhaps he should get a rest: they had a brilliant chance with Greg Rucka...but...

as for MK and GR, I'd rather Marvel put them back on the bench for awhile until someone can think of new ways to bring them back without their most recent incarnations creeping in (female Ghost Rider and Bendis MK.)

Honestly, I think they really messed Punisher up by making him too superheroic. I don't want him to have any interactions with superheroic anything for a good 5 years.

That's it exactly, the title didn't sell enough, of course... only that I think Rucka's run would have gotten much, much more popular if give at least 7 or so months... we are heading into a new arc.... IMO... I wanted some staying power from Marvel... sometimes ya gotta stay in, as a Poker player I know what I'm sayin... I think they pulled the rug a bit prematurely.

U see the first issue of the ongoing run sold 45k

But then DC launched the new 52 and it hurt this title


And then Rucka's run then never recovered its numbers in time for Marvel to pull the plug

Ennis got the punisher selling again

An other writer can!! they just need the right one to get the casual reader reading frank because Marvel knows that there is around 25k hard core fans that buy the Punisher each month it's the extra 10k we need to keep a Punisher title going
