Martian durability isn't like Kryptonian durability, their shapeshifting tends to work against them in that regard - they also had a secondary weakness (often overlooked) which was the resonant death cries (on the psychic plane).
Further, if they're at that level of power then Jor wouldn't need the rocket and he, Lara and others would be able to leave Krypton under their own power - Superman has countered the pull of black holes so Krypton's gravitational pull would be negligible.

Yeah, a planet of bona fide Superman wouldn't really work. GA level, maybe, but I'm fine with the human in all but name and solar absorption ability physiology.
Ah, but that's an exaggeration as he didn't do it by himself
Also, the Kandorians had barely had a year's worth of (filtered) solar absorption, so although their powers were 'active' they wouldn't have the endurance of Superman (not enough reserves) away from Sol - which is what should have, in my opinion, been brought into play when the sun was turned 'red' rather than the 'on-off switch' that was employed.
Zod, however, would have remained powered for longer because of the Sol-treatments he was undergoing after the assassination attempt. Oh, and the 'plague' was also supposed to be a factor in WONK but they dropped the ball on that, too.
The idea that I suggested would make it easier to justify why Superman develops his powers in 20 years while a normal Kryptonian immediately after reaching the earth. Of course, my idea would create more narrative gaps as Adkal noted.
We'll see how the matter will be handled in Man Of Steel with Zod and Faora.
Which is like over 600 feet!
How do fans feel when Foes don't attack with Red Sun radiation. That's the only thing that takes me out of the moment now. I figure they aren't trying if they don't hit him with red sun radiation. By now that's what they should lead with.
