I know, both stories are in their own world, but when the news item for the finale to Smith's story ran, for whatever reason DC referred to it as the last story before New 52. Definitely not the first thing they've said or done that's had me scratching my head.

Inc. however, there's no debating, it's current, it's been referenced in other titles, and thus it takes place in N52 continuity, and it happens before DotF.

So yes, Batman INC is in continuity. He didn't get rebooted. DC just put some of his larger cast on the shelf to help establish his core family to new readers. The moment "Batman Incorporated" was referenced in EVERY OTHER BAT BOOK in the New 52, it cements it there.

You guys are getting hung up on the timeline. It doesn't really matter. DC tells you it doesn't matter. The age of heroes started about six years ago, while they existed prior to that for years, as urban legends and what-not. There's nothing else to really go into.
The question is how does it fit into the continuity, not if. Some people, like myself, enjoy continuity. It's not necessary, but nice to have.

The only sticking point in the Nu52 issues is the use of the Outsiders (I don't believe Flashpoint cost us Wally, Donna, Steph, Cass, et al, but Freight Train made it through ok...).
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
