I like the Fantastic Four book so far.
Gave up on the FF already.

I think they compliment each other, like some interaction between Johnny and Ms.Thing, but other then that your not going to outside the grid with one or the other, I read F4

FF is a must read regardless of whether you read Fantastic Four or not.

Does it go hand and hand with Fantastic Four or will I be fine leaving it off my pull list?
So far, only the first couple of issues have had any real crossover. The current month and the near future look to be reasonably independent, but there is always the possibility of crossover. In my opinion, however, these two books under Fraction don't blend as well as Hickman's did. I'm guessing it's Allred's infl;uence, but FF has a much different flavor than F4 does and having stories cross from one series to the other could be jarring for more than the art. It's not necessarily worse. In fact I love the FF style of story and characterization but the books do not splice together smoothly.

Both of them are *meh* compared to Hickman's run. I agree with Captain Cleghorn that he did a better job of having the titles compliment each other than Fraction has so far.

Me too. I like both books but Mike Allred's artwork is so fun to read and really what got me hooked on the title so far.

Interestingly enough when you go by the sales figures, Fantastic Four is outselling FF by about 12,000 copies a month. IMO The cast and Allred's art makes FF a harder sell. But they're both clearly out of the danger zone of cancellations, which is usually something around the 15,000 mark.

    (estimated sales)In December:

    Fantastic Four #2.....58,421
    FF #2.....................46,096

    In November

    Fantastic Four #1...114,532
    FF #1....................80,701

We know F4 would sell more because it's the more popular characters. Doesn't mean it's better.

I'm buying FF but not Fantastic Four, and I've had no trouble following it. Without a doubt, the current FF is my favourite Fantastic Four stuff that's come out since I've started reading comics.
Primary pulls: X-Factor, Hawkeye, Young Avengers, Avengers Arena, X-Men: Legacy, Uncanny X-Force, FF, Archer and Armstrong

FF is easily one of my favourite comics I've ever read.

Not necessary at all, but FF is a much better book.
