This could be a future plot point where it's revealed that Pete and Otto were actually twin brothers separated at birth. A good writer could pull it off with no problem.

True. But it depends on how the writer approach this situation regarding the Taskmaster as he lost his original memories, which could be a new area to explore in connection to Peter's mother. And wasn't Mystique an existing character in the 1980's when Marvel felt that Nightcrawler having a mother who is an X-Men foe stretches his credibility? It might be interesting if a least one or two existing characters(anti-heroes or foes) who are relatives of Spider-Man because it might bring interest to those characters from Spidey's fan base.

True. But then again, it was Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum who worked on both Ms. Marvel and the X-Men. Everything was conducted under the same writer. Dave did create Mystique as an unused character sketch until Chris asked if he could borrow it for Ms. Marvel before bringing her over to the X-Men.

But if you think about, doesn't it make sense that the vulture is peter's grandfather? He seemingly comes in now and again to check up on Peter but things always go awry. Sounds a lot like a grandpa to me. Dan Slott, are you out there? Can you confirm to us that vulture is Peter's grandpa? Confirm too that Norman Osborn is Peter's dad and Taskmaster is actually Peter's Uncle. THANK YOU.
