Default Is Detective Comics actually tying in to Death of the Family?

Batman Annual #1 claimed to be a Night of the Owls tie-in, but aside from a couple mentions of the Court, was totally disconnected from the main event. Considering the nature of Death of the Family, as well as what I know about Detective Comics' current storyline, I'm wondering if it's the same deal here. Is it an actual DotF tie-in, or just a couple pages in each issue with the logo slapped on the cover to boost sales?

I would definitely consider more of a tie than Batman Annual #1 yes. Heck, I would go as far as to say it's the best on all the tie-in's. Instead of the usual Joker captures family member, torments them, then leaves formula, Detective explores the wider effects Joker's return has had a on Gotham, and how Batman's dealing with it. It's really good stuff and I'd recommend it to anyone.

it is not really tied in at all. in 15 you literally see the joker in two panels and no mention is made. 16 didnt do anything noticable either. the only tie in i liked is batgirl
Batman, Constantine, Demon Knights, Green Arrow, I Vampire, Saga, Talon, and Thor: God of Thunder

If you're looking for just Death of the Family stuff with Joker, not really.

But as Batknight pointed out, it was good that issue #16 showed a Gotham City going crazy as a result of events in the other Bat-books that do directly tie-in to the event. Too many times, I get frustrated by shared universes where the world is visibly on the threshold of destruction in various locations in one book, but no other book even hints that something is going on. (Maybe because they have their own earth-shattering events at the same time that also don't affect any other superhero for some reason?).
