I am filled with forboding. I loathe Starlin's more recent work (Death Of The New Gods, Strange Adventures, etc) but I'll hang around for the first arc to see what he does.

The Weird should be nowhere near Stormwatch as far as I'm concerned though.

I haven't read anything with the Weird in it (unless you count his Wikipedia entry); why is he such a bad fit for Stormwatch?

I think "The Weird" fits pretty good with this version of STORMWATCH.
The Weird has the ability to manipulate matter of any kind and build up in mass by gathering purloined energy. His main ability is being able to alter the density of his body, in order to become intangible. He has also used it to increase his physical strength, being able to physically engage with the likes of Superman and Martian Manhunter (he was able to knock out the latter in a physical fight). He is also able to manipulate the density of other physical objects other than himself. He has also been able to manipulate energy for various uses, as well.

I almost think that getting to use the Weird is one of Starlin's contract requirements with DC.

As for this, I dropped Stormwatch a while ago as it just wasn't grabbing me. I'll give Starlin an issue or two to see how it goes.
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.

There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.

I really hope all the continuity isn't scrapped. I wanted to find out why Deathstroke and Midnighter hated each other. They make perfect adversaries. Near identical powers. Most likely a Team 7 connection.
