Morning people.
Morning people.
What have I always believed? That, on the whole, and by and large, if a person lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, at the end, more or less, turn out ok.
False alarm. Never attribute to malice what can easily be attributed to utter stupidity.Paradox should have known:
Wellll, isn't this interesting. I won't know until I can talk to someone in the morning, but I highly suspect my District Manager of clumsily trying to frame me for taking $50 from the drawer at work. Joke's on him, though. There was only $40 in paper money even in the drawer last night, and the rest was receipts and change (and all accounted for). This should be fun fighting out.![]()
He's convinced I owe him $50, regardless of how many times I explain and document the situation. He's just a dumb ass. He's evil, too, but in this case...jes' stoopit.

Nah, I'll just keep explaining it to him, and he'll have to give in. He knows better than to fuck with me too much, he just needs facts pounded into his head until the light bulb finally comes on and he walks away grumbling. The biggest part of his problem is that he thinks he's smart, when in fact, he'd have to add some IQ points to make it to 90.

Actually, since he's been constantly fired, moved around to other properties and always rehired, my theory is that he knows about some skullduggery the owner is involved in and extorts his way back into jobs. He really had no idea what he's doing, and after 19 years in the business. I've never in my life met someone that, when faced with a decision, will always choose the one that's 180 degrees divorced from reality.

Went to see some of my ex-players play yesterday. The JV game was badly officiated and poorly run at the scorer's table, even though the team I was rooting for won in a blowout. The varsity game saw the team I was rooting for pull out a tough win despite not being able to hit the broadside of a barn for most of the game.

That is fucking ridiculous. If I can locate his microscopic penis, I will remove it with tweezers and jam it up his nostril, where it will take root and grow into a cancerous testicular abomination, eventually taking over his entire backstabbing evil face.

Yeah, in a perfect world. Sadly it has been my experience that when it's you vs someone higher ranked, HR fires your ass instead of theirs.

As I always heard , when you fail , you fail upwards. Which seems to be your manager's deal Paradox. And hell I experienced it myself years ago....
Like for instance , at the Steakhouse I worked at we lost an actual good manager named Charles. The guy was awesome. He never pushed guys to hard and everyone enjoyed working for him. So the guy over us moved him (instead of keeping him) to another store at a bigger position . Instead of giving him that at the place we were. So he moved a new guy in and that dude was completely fucking crazy.
Imagine someone with OCD issues who questioned everyone , over everything. One dude had a lighter color work pants and he would drive the guy crazy over that ...wanting his work pants to be the shade of blue/black others had. He would fire someone for being a few minutes late , then forget he fired them and ask where they were. Which comically had me working one Friday and he did this. "Hey where is your replacement to take your shift over here prepping food ?" "That was Becky. You fired her..." "I did ?"
He'd also not listen to any of the other managers below him and once blew a food order to hell. One female manager made a food order and we usually got 400-600 units off a truck every few days. This guy went through and gave us a 1,000+ unit order . Which had the female manager freak out as I had to spend a day finding locations in the store.
There was the times he'd follow me around and ask about my mustache. Don't ask why he became so concerned about a mustache. But he'd tell me it was getting too long at times. It started to spook the shit outta me.
Finally after he got in a fight with someone during work in front of a crowd....he was seemingly fired. Our other manager came back. Then of course the owner and me were setting there and I joked... "Well maybe the poor dude can get a job running a car wash or something." The owner looks at me and goes... "Oh no , I didn't fire him , I sent him to another location as manager."
Because ya know...firing him would be too nice. Its best to keep him in the same position and continue to let him fail.

Just for the record, he's our District Manager. We've been two months without a General Manager, but one got hired the other day. The DM is less of a pain to me when we have a GM to act as a buffer.
The new guy seems decent, intelligent and experienced, but sadly that usually means he'll be gone inside of six months because of getting fed up with their crap.

I could wish he gets poisoned. I'm pretty sure that's the same thing.
My son woke me up twice last night. Once to potty, because he needs to inform me every time he needs to potty, and once to tell me he wanted to sleep in our bed. That time I woke the husband up and made him take the boy back to his own room. Eventually those fuckers will learn not to fuck with me.
You are good at this. Almost too good.
I have to be in the mood to read a SuperE post that is longer than two sentences. I'm not in the fucking mood right now.
Happy Saturday, CBRians! All Valentines have been mailed, because I am great at getting shit done.
