Well, I'll be Mr Negative here and say that this book might be for me. As always, I'll at least buy it and check it out. I've been plesantly surprised by a lot of books in Marvel Now so we shall see....

I'll try not to be to harsh like a was for YA lol.

I am cautious as well but so far so good. I assume it will be more than 3 members so once I find out who else joins I will be less on the fence.

Well, there will be 9 team members, and Hippolyta is the 4th.

Ok now I know 4. I did not realize it was going as big as nine. All I had heard so far was Dani was joining in the first few issues.


So Hippolyta is not dead anymore. Hercules saw her in the underworld. Then again he saw Jan too and that appears to be an error.

Hippolyta is coming back to life. That's going to be explored in issue 3.

And yeah, the team is being revealed slowly so that each team member that joins will have impact.

Wot's funny...I thought the very same thing while reading the dialogues...with pretty much the same expression.

If it is a one off thing to "set the tone" as it were, then all well and good...but sixteen more pages of Asgard-Speak is going to ruin this for me.

I've made my peace with the art...I've reconciled the fact that it will never completely be to my liking...so be it.

Lol well we'll have to agree to disagree as I quite like the art. I expect Valkryie to continue to talk in an Asgardian way though as for the ''Why do you talk like that?'' moment I just liked the way they said it at the same time lol.

Hopefully it'll be good overall though, not long now to find that out.

Valkyrie's generally always spoken like an Asgardian...at least in the 90s and on. I think, when she was still in a human body, she didn't.

That said, she's generally a woman of relatively few words unless riled up and it's usually what makes it funny when she slips into a non-Asgardian turn of phrase every now and then that she's picked up from heroing on Midgard so long. Kinda like when I was reading Incredible Hercules once and literally fell out of my chair laughing when Thor asked Amadeus if he'd beaten Sekhmet by "slipping her a roofie". =P Asgardians learn things from the youtubes too!

I imagine it will tone down though, but don't expect Valkyrie to use shortened words much. English isn't her first language, after all.

Thank you, Icg16...I freely admit I am quite the "noob" when it comes to Valkyrie, Misty and Hippolyta (not Dani...) that is why I am looking forward to reading these "new for me" characters.

I'm on the same boat, other than Dani I know nothing about the cast, I had never even heard about Misty Knight? Valkyrie I had seen a bunch of drawings of and always thought she looked cool but never read her

still, other than All New X-Men, X-Men, and Avenger Arena, this is one of the top books I'm looking forward to right now
