Default Why No Mortal Kombat comics?

Time Warner owns the IP, and after the 2011 game it got a surge again and we had Mortal Kombat vs DC universe. Why no comics? There is a large universe of stories to tell.

Edit: I figured since this was the DC section and it would be DC who would publish it, this would be a good place to put this.

There's only two video game on-going comics and that's Sonic and Mega-Man.Sonic made it to issue 243 and the comic sells decently for an indie book.Sonic proves that an video game comic can sell pretty good.

Mortal Kombat has a big universe. The game can easily hold an on-going.The reason we don't have one is because DC would rather use their resources elsewhere or nobody is interested in writing one.
I would go bananas for a sci-fi metriod comic. Why the **** hasn't there been a Metriod comic! The universe is so big, there's much left to be explored. What da faq!

Does anybody think they should be more video-games comics?

Why not? Because it's a bad idea that won't sell.

There are a lot of video game comics. There might not be a lot of ongoings, but almost all modern video games have at least one comic miniseries. Some are just adaptations, others expand or add to the story of the game.

Dragon Age, Ninja Scroll, Dungeon Siege, Prototype, Starcraft, Tomb Raider, World of Warcraft, Borderlands, Army of Two, Arkham City, Darksiders, Assasins Creed, BloodRayne, Brothers in Arms, Castlevania, Dead Rising, Deus Ex, Gears of War, Halo, God of War, Infamous, Left 4 Dead, Legacy of Kain, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and yes Mortal Kombat have all had comics. There's probably a lot more as well.

I think the best gaming-type comic is what IDW is doing with Dungeons and Dragons. If you're even slightly interested in the fantasy genre, you need to check out the D&D comics.

I think the Halo and Mass Effect comics are pretty good too.

This, Metroid is one of the richest SciFi universes to come out of any videogame company, Id love to pull a comic.

And heck I'd love for Legacy of Kain to return in any form, be it comic or a new VG.

    Round 1.... FIGHT!

And I for one would love to see a comic view into the Mortal Kombat universe. Its quite rich in its background with the various realms and stuff. Was kind of surprised that DC hasn't been making such comics after MK vs DC.

I'd rather see Richard Dragon: Kung Fu Fighter revived

    or even Karate Kid

but maybe the two could be combined with the Mortal Kombat crew . . . you could even throw in Bronze Tiger and Lady Shiva.

Yeah, not some of the best stuff either. Adding character that had nothing to do with the games and totally getting characters wrong.

Heh. of course they added characters. I mean, how else are you going to see the Fatalities if they didn't?
    .....
Ho come on, let's not pretend we follow MK for the story.
