Since I loved SW#1, I'd like to finally read Marvel's SW stuff. What's the best way to do so? I'm thinking the Omnibus series - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Omnib...go..._Volume_1 - is the most complete?

Avoid the movies which are retold in certain issues.

Here is the list of every issue. You can cherrypick storylines if you wan't, you don't have to read Marvel 20 to get the ending of the series. it's not like the Wire or Babylon 5.

I really liked the adaptions Marvel did of a New Hope and Empire back in the day, and when I re-read them a few months back I still felt they were pretty good but that the dialogue was a bit cornball in places. But lets be real, the dialogue in the films is at times pretty damn cornball. As for the Jedi adaption, I imagine Marvel did one but I never read it because I had moved on to other things like GI Joe.

I forgot about Jaxxon! I reckon I'll pick up the Omnibus next time I see it. I don't mind a bit of corny dialogue, most comics from the 70s/80s have it!
Some of the Marvel stuff is hit or miss but for the most part I really, really liked it. The Magnificent 7 stuff with Solo immediately after the first movie adaption, the storylines after Empire and leading to Jedi and even a lot of the stuff post Jedi. Some cool ideas and characters, some of which even carried over to the EU novels.

That's a big part of why I'm interested, I want to read the stuff with Lumiya and Flint. It's also the retro feel, I recently re-watched the Original Trilogy and I want to read the comics from that time. I picked up the first Omnibus volume today; there's plenty of reading in it (it collects the first 27 issues).
I never liked The Star Wars movies, but I dug some of the comics. Jaxxon, the Spiner and Amaiza. The good old times.
Wait you dislike all the movies and like the EU?
You are rarer than unicorns.
