There should be a neatral option on that poll. Or at least 'I want PETER and MJ to get back together when this is all over.'
Whereas I think that's a utterly stupid philosophy which basically means a character will be stuck in a certain spot in life for umpteen zillion years. Relationships, both in comics and real life, are what in part makes people interesting. They might not last forever, but they provide the stimulas for a range of possible situations. Marvel would be a weird place if every character were twenty something bonking a different character every issue.
He's had at least two love interests in his life, both female (and a wife if you count the 2004 movie) so I'm thinking that's (probably) unlikely.
