Spider-Man was poor and married, and now he's rich and single
Hulk was a fugitive and a loner, now he's a respected Avenger

Who else got changed as a result of this period?

But really, Iron Man blew the flip up, more thanks to the movie then anything else. Cyclops could also have a case made for him, although the seeds of that change have been brewing since Morrison began rehab on him and Wheadon followed up.

Stature, she went from pre-teen kid with a dead dad just before Civil War, to teenage super hero with a boyfriend from the future, to a teenage superhero with a robot boyfriend, to a member of the Initiative to reunited with dead dad to dead to give dead dad motivation and give weight to a story that was barely her own.

Ghost Rider and Frank Castle have both also gone through some crap during this period as well.

General Ross turned into a Red Hulk Thunderbolt.

I always criticized Loeb for not revealing who Rulk was for so long, but it makes sense now. If we knew it was just a General, I don't think his actions would have felt that dynamic. But as an unknown Rulk made a bigger impact. Now that we know who Rulk is, we see him more as a General with Red Skin.
