Haven't seen the newest Dredd movie, but does he not have futuristic weapons?

Now that I think about it, a lot of your 'ordinary humans' have guns.

I said they shouldn't be able to beat all real world humans in Khazan. As in they should be within the real world capabilities of peak real world humans in a Khazan setting.

I even said, ideally, YOU should have a chance against them.

So we're gonna need to look at that when I get up tomorrow.

Yeah, the Lawgiver, but he's still just a normal person, its just his weapon has a bunch of functions. Nothing like laser, but he has incinderary rounds, rapid fire, high explosive. Essentially, all the rounds shown in the movie were ammunition types that exist in today's military, its just his gun allows his to switch without reloading or changing guns. The only exception would possibly be inciderary, which burst out like a roman candle and set about six guys on fire. But he used gas grenade, stun grenade...nothing so futuristic its not used today.

Trust in the fact that I see no reason why I could not beat Steele considering the damage to his body by criminals he's taken. As to carrying a piece on him Im sure he has but its not a thing which is consistent wirh him.

I'll give you that time to make a ruling as I have another two that can factually be shown never to have touched a gun at all.

Edit: Checking other choices I see a few others who'd come in packing especially the one who makes peoples day.

My New Pick then: Richard Langley (The Lone Gunmen) Geekish conspiracy theorist who is a computer hacker with very little in physical skills except for running. Not only do I think i could take him Im sure I could best him in Dnd as well, another hobby of his.

To be fair, so do a lot of ordinary humans. Especially in America. Heck, I could go buy one right now.

Honestly, Y: The Last Man is about as realistic as comics get; 355 is hands down the best fighter in the comic and she can still get the shit kicked out of her if she isn't careful. That said, she tends to go for her baton more so than her gun, and she only packs a pistol at that. By the end of the comic, she's traded off her firearms.

I even said, ideally, YOU should have a chance against them.

I'm an overweight, out of shape slug with increasing joint problems. I can't think of a useful fictional character I could defeat short of those who are purposefully super weak such as Mr. Burns.

That said, I'm pretty sure some of those picks would kick all of our asses in a one-on-one, guns or no.

Still, if I have to change 355 out, then my replacement pick will be Ellen Ripley (Alien), on the basis that I'd be hard pressed to associate her with a specific weapon, so I'd say she comes into the fight unarmed, and I also don't recall her having any sort of special combat ability.

I was wondering about most space vehicles in general, as shouldn't they be able to easily evade the Thundertank due to vastly superior speed and the likelihood that they can stay out of the Thundertank's range while blasting away at it?

However, the listing doesn't say the Thundertank has to be able to beat it in the arena, it just can't be more powerful... hm. I guess I should've waited on my fleet, then, as I knew of several space fleet options. Oh well.

For the record, regarding the Thundertank, I specifically worded it differently to the other slots, leaving it as 'no more powerful than' rather than 'Thundertank must be able to beat them'.

This is mostly because it would depend entirely on the driver.

So the general idea is that the Thundertank should have more power output than your fleet. Whether or not it can tag them isn't relevant.

Though it should be noted that the cannon-turret in the back can quite easily blast things out of the sky anyway.
