Nope. Market the character, not the talent. That's what DC is going for, I think.

Having said that . . . I just read GL: Mosaic # 1-11 because of this sale. Really wish they'd put the entire series on here. Every issue is. Just. So. Awesome. All one-and-done issues and all mature and thought-provoking while also being quite fun. I've read a lot of Gerard Jones stuff from this era and a lot is just average and some just barely passable. This - this is him at his best. I think the Hamner art works well, too, even if the artist's current stuff is better.

What happened to the John Stewart that was in this series? I don't think we've seen him since. Now we have . . . whoever that is in GLC. But it's not John Stewart.

So I'll be picking up the New 52 Static Shock issues for the current sale. Based on Billy the Cat's recommendation, I may get the Static Shock Special as well. Any other sale books look good this week?

And I recommend you to not pick the New 52 Static Shock series, it was a directionless disaster.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.

Do NOT touch that Static Shock series. Get the Static Shock special but not that series-it's an insult to Milestone & Milestone fans and even if that was the best they could have one-they shouldn't have done it.

If you must read it-go look for it in the public library.
