Which I read in TPB form maybe 3 years ago after not having encountered it since those ishes were new ... which at least explains that.

(Not that there aren't all sort of other reasons for me to seek help immediatley, of course.)

Actually he did disguise himself as Nelson Rockefeller a dozen or so issues later. Rockefeller was president on the Squadron Supreme's world and Beast impersonated him to try to talk some sense into the Squadron.

Edit: And I see I missed that there was another page where Shellhead already said this.

But you added more detail, which I appreciate, because now I have more of a grasp on what I was remembering.

Though I suspect you stepped in simply because you knew that my "seek help immediately" go-to guy is your arch-nemesis, dr chimp.

    Well, there is that too.

Default Additional Questions - The Answers

Here are the answers to my questions....

    1. Which Marvel character, who would later become a super-hero, first appeared in Avengers # 32 ?

    Answer: Bill Foster

    2. Who did Hank Pym say that he loved best, second only to his wife, in Avengers # 93 ?

Answer: His jet pack (get a life, you loser !!!)

    3. How many covers did Gil Kane draw [dramatic pause] out of the first 120 issues of the Avengers ?

Answer: Four: # 37, 38, 97 & 110. (Two points for the correct answer, one point if within range of 1 to 9 – no points for zero !)

Boring Fact of the Day: #110 was the first Avengers issue I read (four months before Marvel UK started reprinting the Avengers). I reckon that Gil Kane cover heavily influenced my selection of that issue !

    4. What is significant about the craft the Collector had in Earth's orbit during the Michael-Korvac saga of 1978 ?

Answer: Externally it was the size of a phone box, but internally it was so much bigger….

(I should point out here that I am a Doctor Who fan, hence the significance of that question.)

    5. In which comic did Red Ronin first appear ?

    Answer: Godzilla

    6. Which Avengers villain appeared in Sgt Fury # 8 ?

Answer: Zemo (Dr Zemo in Sgt Fury, Baron Zemo in Avengers)

    7. What substance was introduced in Avengers #66 (volume 1) ?
    Answer: Adamantium

    8. Who was once the Scientific Advisor to the West Coast Avengers ?

    Answer: Hank Pym

    9. Which Avengers (from the various comics teams) were active in the film Iron Man 2 ?

    Answer:
    Iron Man (one point)
    Black Widow (one point)
    War Machine (one point)

    10. During Bendis’ various Avengers line-ups, who was Ronin ? (Two possible answers, one point for each).
    Answer:
Echo / Maya Lopez (one point)
Hawkeye / Clint Barton (one point)

Default Spot the Hulk ! - the Answer.

This is the cover to Avengers Weekly #3, a Marvel UK reprint magazine which, in this issue, reprinted Avengers #6, using the cover from Avengers Annual #4 as a basis.
However, the aforementioned annual reprinted #5 as well as #6 and so the original cover included the Hulk as well. As #5 had been printed in Avengers Weekly #2, the
Hulk was absent from Weekly #3 and so was removed from the cover.

I don't know if there is an equivalent in the States, but in the UK there is a competition called Spot the Ball, where a photograph from a soccer match has the football
removed (the ball is usually in the air in the photograph used) and you have to put a cross where you think the ball should be.

So in this case, mark a cross where you think the Hulk should be....

Here's a link to the cover of Avengers Annual #4, so you can see where the Hulk was:

It should be noted that no one in the quiz answered this correctly, despite my thinking this would be too easy....

I blanked on the Hulk cover question. I knew he was hanging off a roof but I didn't remember where. I really liked those "new " covers to the reprint stories.
