Default The Captain Britain Corps vs. The Council of Reeds

NO PREP TIME!! Because I think we all know who'd win if the Reeds had time to cook up some of their technological mischief. I'd like to think that the team with the most varied power set will win this, but it's more likely to be the Reeds, just because. You know, brains and stuff.

You do know there were (just as an example) members of the Council of Reeds who had all their universe's Infinity Gems?

This isn't just a stomp, I'm afraid it's an embarrassment to Brian etc.

Yeah at least 3 that I recall had complete IG's. So one of them slightly moves their eyebrow and suddenly the CBC no longer exists.

Those IGs specifically only worked in their home universes.

Didn't they have a workaround where they opened a portal to their own universe, stuck their hand through and hurled back whatever the heck they wanted as a result? I vaguely recall hearing that.

But would we apply the "Neo in the Matrix; Freddy in Dreamworld" rule here?

When those Reeds are in their home dimensions, they're (for all intents and purposes) omnipotent.

Why would we deny them their power from their own dimension if we give Neo and Freddy a free pass?

(Not saying we shouldn't - just curious.)

I was gonna post that, but wouldn't they work in the arena? I mean we handwave the speed force and other things so they work.

    Edit: Blitzed by beadle haha.

In the case of Freddy, we don't/shouldn't assume dream world powers unless the OP says. (Or it's a scenario, in which case he should start in the Dream World anyway.)
And the situation is kind of muddy because Freddy at his strongest has powers over the real world too.

For Neo, the reason is just a matter of obvious - When people say "Neo", they mean "Dude who can bullet time and shoot people a lot", not "Blind dude who has some vaguely explained powers over machines".

At any rate, both of those have those powers like...90+% of their screen time.

When someone says "Group of Reed Richards", they don't think "With a bunch of working Infinity Gauntlets". And given that the OP went as far as specifying no prep because that was obviously a curbstomp, I highly doubt he meant "No prep, but with the cosmic artifacts that vastly outmatch his prep working".
Logic should be taken into account, is what I mean.

Finally, there's the matter of presentation - it's one thing to assume people have their powers that they have for the vast majority of their screentime, it's another to assume their artifacts that only work in one place (which they spent most of their screentime out of) will work.

They can regardless here certainly last long enough to do that make a gauntlet work anywho trick they know, which c is for cookie, is good enough to waste the Captain Britains.

As impressive seeming as those Reeds were many of them were just featless character designs. I'd think they'd be powerful, but I'm not sure they had enough panel time to get a sense of their exact capabilities. The corps has a few Captain Britains with some nice showings, and 616 Cap is close to a class 100 at his best, but I doubt even working together they are bringing down a celestial. So I suppose I'd take the Reeds, but it would be hard to give specifics with the limited information available.
