    Default BATMAN INCORPORATED #7 Preview/Discussion

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...eview&id=15043

I feel like my praise for this series has become rote at this point...but, as usual, can't wait 'til Morrison closes off his epic, and Chris Burnham is ridiculously good.

I feel like I say this every month, but I really think I'm dropping this series and going to pass on this issue. I feel like I just don't care about the storyline anymore at all, and when I read the issues they aren't doing much for me. I can't tell if it's a personal thing or Inc Vol 2 is just a lot weaker than Inc Vol 1. The series seems to have lost its energy and creativity.

Another fill-in artist. Bleh. Looking good though.

It's weird you say this, because I feel Vol. 2 is leaps and bounds better than Vol. 1. Volume 1 was my least favorite part of Grant's run so maybe I'm bias.

It wasn't my least favorite part of Grant's run (for me it was Batman and Son and a few of the beginning bits), but I'll certainliy agree that v2 is stronger.

Not reading this, not reading this.

It's always a double edged sword; I know a lot of discussion goes on that I'd love to be a part of, b ut it's not worth lessening the impact of the full issue experience.

I found Vol 1's globetrotting and the introductions of all the new Bat Inc members to be really fun, and the experimentation in the Kathy Kane and Internet 3.0 issues was really creatively exciting. The issues jumped around a lot more stylistically and it felt like every issue was something new and exciting. We had fun stuff like death tangos and Man of Bats museums.

This volume is more depressing and I think that they're stretching out the Talia reveal for too long. Every issue is just Batman pleading with Talia, Inc fighting Talia's ninjas, etc. There is no sense of fun or creativity anymore.

I also think on a personal level the massive time gap between Vol 1 and 2 and the introduction of the New 52 seriously hurt my anticipation for this title. It passed its "moment" for me.

Oh WOW,it's like Morrison saw all our whining(myself included) about how Nightwing has been treated in the nu52 and decided to write this, seriously that one panel with Squire is better than 17 issues of Nightwing put together.

And this preview,OMG has more content and story in it than every DCNU Batman book put together.

Yeah I agree, volume 1 was a lot more fun. Here we're just getting a lot of stress and doom going on, but the plot isn't moving fast enough to where it's just dwelling on those emotions.

Oh god this artwork. Why do Tim and Dick have the exact same face? Also, Squire looks horrendous! I mean just look at her! I couldn't even tell that was her until I saw the hat. She looks like a guy. Seriously!

I have said this before but I think they would have been better served releasing Inc Vol 2 as an OGN of about six issues worth of material. It would be a better way to showcase a massive battle and I think would wrap things up more effectively.

The reasons why you guys like Vol. 1, are the same reasons I disliked it. That 3.0 issue was one of the worst (and ugliest) comics I've ever read. I guess I just like doom and depression, because that's what I look for in the Bat-U.

Have you ever seen someone cry like that? They always look like crap. Burnham nailed it.
