Wasn't the character played by someone else in Sin City? Strangely I watched it again last night and the movie starts with Ava the quintessential femme fatal but is never involved in the story. She is killed at the beginning by Josh Arnett(instead of in the end of "Dame to kill For").

Also Dwight was played by Clive Owen in Sin City and is not mentioned for this movie.

That isnt Ava at the start if Sin City. Its a completly different character.

Ava Lord is killed by Dwight in Dame to Kill For. The opening of the first Sin City film is an adaptation of The Customer is Always Right from Booze, Broads and Bullets.

The story of the prostitues in the film is an adaptation of The Big Fat Kill, which takes place after A Dame To Kill For. Ava is already dead by then.
Manute (Michael Clarke Duncans character) references Avas death in the film; "i serve a new master now."

Oh alright thanks. Still I wonder if Clive Owen is going to re-play Dwight.

Its speculated that Josh Brolin will be playing pre-surgery Dwight and Clive Owen will return to play the character nearer the end. I dont believe any casting announcement regarding Owen has been made though.

I don't mind Brolin replacing Owen.

Ava Lord is sex. Pure, unrelenting, irresistable sex. No man can resist her, and she knows it. This being Sin City, she uses this power for selfish, evil things.

This was impossible casting. I wish Eva and Rodriguez the best trying to pull that off to the extent that it needs to.
Keaton always said, "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him." Well I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me are people that think Final Crisis is good.

Her lack of shyness aside, she really is beautiful. After I watched Kingdom of Heaven I was just completely awe-struck. Subtle features that are so perfectly melded.
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

She's gorgeous and a damn fine actress. I haven't read Sin City but I'm confident she can pull of whatever the role entails.

She was the best thing about Dark Shadows. Her casting as Ava Lord seriously excites me, I can't wait! She's talented and crazy gorgeous. I was completely enamored looking at her on screen in DS.

I like Green but I probably would have gone after Christina Hendricks as far as ultimate object of desire for men.
