I'm not intentionally following you. You and I just happen to be in the same Superman related topics.

And no, if Shuster had changed the costume I of course would have no issue with it because it is his creation and I always respect the wishes of the characters creator. I find you to be a DC shill because you support everything they do and question nothing, unless of course it is in their past, in which case you consider it all to be garbage.
You really don't pay attention. First off, I never said that anything before 1986 was garbage. Just because it isn't my cup of tea, doesn't mean that it was crap. Second, I don't support the New 52, something that my position has been well documented on here. Just because I don't bitch like Lexrules does, doesn't mean that I'm in favor of it. What I do say though, is that it's DC's right to do what they wish because it is their property. Same with Marvel. My support, or lack thereof, is frivolous compared to my belief over creator or owner rights. Third, DC and Marvel have always had a habit of changing their characters looks and origins to best suit what they want to do. Even with the knowledge of the creators and regardless of their blessing. Spider-Man alone has had multiple costume changes in the comics and in animation, it has happened as well. Not to mention the films. But I don't see you bitching about that.

Indeed. Yet, I don't see a complaint about those alterations. But alter Superman and it's "Man the torpedoes!". That's the hypocrisy.

So basically you are saying unless I am drooling over whatever DC or WB does, then I should have no right to state my opinion because you don't want to read it? There is an ignore option; use it.

Never said Marvel didn't change things, the difference is they manage to do it without giving the impression that the changes are made because the source material itself is lacking. DC/WB does not do this-they have stated for years in their own comics that what they had done before was stupid, or outdated, or whatever, so as to justify their latest reboot. Marvel does the same thing with reboots and retcons, but they sell it as "here's our latest new and awesome thing", while DC sells it as "we're sorry we suck and have always sucked, but we'll get it right this time". That's apologizing. DC just does not know how to market themselves and never have. They try to get by on the fame of their big characters without doing anything else except the shock value stunts they pull. What they need is a year in, year out strategy to promote their comics, brands and culture and it needs to be done with pride. But there's no one with their company that is really capable of doing that. Their habit of apologizing for what DC is (or was) and how it is different from Marvel is a big part of why they are always behind.

As for the last two Batman films, they had a ton of success but that series is over now and Batman movies have done poorly before. Just making a Batman movie does not guarantee anything.

I don't consider any character as important as Superman, plus even if DC has the right to do whatever they want with Superman (and they certainly do), why should that exclude me, or you, or anyone from criticizing it if they have issues with it? Of course it doesn't matter in the long run unless enough people have problems with it that sales decline, but why should their control mean that no one can be critical of them? And I actually am overall supportive of nu52 Superman, apart from the costume. Also, as you and others who support changing the costume constantly and conveniently forget, I have stated-numerous times-that although I don't like them changing the costume that my other issue with the new costumes (MOS and nu52) is that I don't like the designs themselves. I've even said many times that I like the shirt and jeans costume and it is by far the most extreme departure from the original. If you are going to replace a costume as famous and as long lived as Superman's, then the new costume had better be amazing. Neither the nu52 nor the MOS costumes are anything close to amazing, IMO. So I think cherrypicking my posts just to bicker with me is very petty and personal. And I do feel you get personal with me, calling me a hypocrite, following me from thread to thread (which you do, there's boards apart from the Superman board where you respond to my posts, always to argue with me), and generally harassing me even after I have asked you numerous times to just ignore my posts. I feel you are trolling me in the hopes that by trying to get my goat you can get me banned from here. That's what it feels like to me.

    I already answered this above.

Again, I ask you to stop harassing me and I don't think other posters appreciate seeing this kind of junk muddying up the discussion. I know you will respond to me here in a derogatory fashion, but I will not respond except to send you a PM. Please leave me alone from here on.
