For me it was Gage's patented "grown men act like indecisive moronoic teenagers for no reason" shtick. It was also boring as all hell.

Angel and Faith is amazing. I can't believe Gage writes that book.

Did they spend 3/4 of the issue talking about their feelings?

I haven't read it in months (nor Buffy, I need to catch up!) but I remember loving that book, even more than Buffy itself. His Faith was so amazing. It was the reason I was so excited he was going to take over Legacy.

Imagine a comic with an over-wrought and maudlin plot, being written by a writer who has for the past year slipped into an increasingly deep groove of writing tawdry, lazy, schmaltz-laden (and just plain boring) scripts, riding roughshod over the characterizations & work of other writers, whose beloved family pet recently passed away, filling him with loss and a need to ONLY WRITE NICE THINGS.

    He gets Carol wrong too.

No. A friend did. I laughed.

Jessica Jones was the best thing in the book.

I'm told his Angel & Faith stuff is great.

It's like Cullen Bunn. Up until FD, I've just not had much time for his Marvel work, and then today we get a really fun book.

    100% of the book.

    Plus, that shitty ending. Ugh.

I used to really like Gage's stuff but at least for the past two years he's just been phoning it in with his Marvel work. Angel and Faith as far as I know is still good (Trade waiting).

Which in MY world is the only thing that matters. Her hair was ok though.

... but it said "Avengers" on the cover. So I bought it. Yeah. Sometimes I'm just that easy.

Silly superheroes, always fighting: talking your problems out is so much more mature.

The Frenzy Legacy issue where she talks to the village people about living through their pain and becoming stronger because of it was lifted straight from an Angel and Faith arc he just finished. It even included mindwipes. That's how lazy he is. Only the A&F arc was handled with the proper gravitas and maturity.

Did any one else read Scarlet this week? I was so excited when I saw that it was back this week. I had almost forgot what happened in the last five issues.

Are you talking about Drusilla? I don't remember any mindwipes though. It's also around the time I stopped reading so my memory is spotty.
