Yeah, outside of the big 3 and their "family" titles, the rest of DC 52 seems to be just up in the air in terms of general purpose and story planning.

DC just handled this reboot very poorly.

Was only reading Animal Man and Batman INC for a while from DC. But then Animal Man had to stop any form of story progression for Swamp Thing to play catch up and I just stopped caring about whatever was going on with Batman.

I don't know if it's an editing issue, but Ann Nocenti's New 52 writing is sloppy and disjointed. Taking aside characterisation or plotting and all those elements - her actual writing is poor, on a basic level. Her choice of sentences, use of grammar, and structure. I don't know what's happened.
