I forgot that Aqua man is telling both the league and Aqua man sides unlike most crossovers. The one thing this book reminded me of was that Cyborg has the perfect setting and Supporting Cast but its been given to vibe instead.

Any who was that guy being Vulko something that people following the book already know. Also calling it now Tornado is going to be in Vibe and will have something to do with meeting Earth-2. Tornado is going to be one of the expect ions where there can be a dupe but the character may have different powers (also earth prime tornado is a male while the eartj-2 one is riffing off of Ma Hunkel.

Boy, is Victor's face going to be red when he realises he could have just asked to borrow one of Batman's magic go underwater do anything suits instead of having to give up his lung.

    Ask Batman how?

Also the suit wouldn't work because its making all of his robotic parts water and depth proof as well.

But if they had given it to Cyborg with the exact same creative team, I'd bet dollars to donuts that you'd be in here screaming that they didn't give the character the creative team necessary to succeed.

    And you'd be right.

I'd rather they waited, gave Cyborg a better platform from which to launch -- rotate him into the JL backups once Shazam rotates out into his own ongoing series. Then rotate HIM out into a new ongoing series, with a strong creative team that has been groomed for the title, has experience on the kind of stories they want to do with Cyborg (my personal choice would be to focus on the friction arising from modern technology, the alienation and the lack of engagement. "Program or Be Programmed" meets "Catcher in the Rye").

I've always thought Art Thibert was one of the best inkers in the business. Very happy to see him working on a popular book with a great penciller.

Nice preview. Throne of Atlantis has been awesome so far! Nice to see some spot light on Aquaman

The art looks much improved in comparison to last issue, Pelletier was right when he said that it takes a couple of issues for him to get accustomed to a book.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.

You think? So you'd be happy if Kreisenberg - who absolutely sunk Green Arrow/Black Canary, and whose "Arrow" (digital) comics are being torn apart - was put on Cyborg?

I don't know. I could have given you the same pitch for Eric Wallace, writer of Mr. Terrific -- That's the guy who wrote Eureka!

I'm not against TV guys coming in and doing work for comics, I think it can work out quite well (Bryan Q Miller, you sexy beast!) even if I think the show itself is pretty weak (Smallville). But this particular writer has demonstrated a complete lack of facility for comic books, IMHO, from his Helen Keller action comic (cool in concept, I'll give him that) to his Green Arrow/Black Canary and JLA Classified to his Arrow comic book. It also doesn't help that I've found his Arrow (TV show) to be pretty weak, I admit, though how much of that is on him I don't know (I again reference BQM, who worked on the mediocre Smallville, I find his work to be brilliant in comics).

Looks decent, but I'm ready for Aquaman (the comic book) to go back to being just Aquaman (and Mera) after the crossover. I really want to see what Pelletier can do when he gets comfortable with the franchise. His cover for #19 looks fantastic so I hope that's a preview of what style he will adopt. I don't think the coloring and inking here works well with his style.

i usually like Pelletier's work but something feels off here. he might have a wrong inker or something.

It's far better than last issue, but yes. Usually he's just short of Davis, but with Thibert's finer line he's looking much less detailed somehow.

Mark Farmer is the guy he needs on finishes.
