Oh please. The only reason she stuck with him after Civil War is because she likes being a freaking doormat. And Marvel still likes forcing the family concept to extremely outdated extremes.

Marriages can't work in Marvel especially with the offices so divided up that they can't crossover characters (Except Wolverine of course) to other departments without it being the end of the world.

The Black Panther and Storm marriage was a case study for how Marvel feels about marriage among other things... AHEM (Race card alert).

The best chance is for a writer to invent a character that is in house and exclusive to that particular franchise with a no touch option for any other office to use... Hence Sue Storm can't suddenly marry Captain America (Avengers franchise) which would take her away from the Fantastics Four franchise that she is a cornerstone of without internal/external boycotts like the ones Black Panther and Storm received when they got hitched.

Being Invisible Sue does get around when people aren't looking and she does have a thing for Doom

Namor treats her like a fairy book princess while Reed has challenged her to be more self sufficient. Remember in the early Lee/Kirby years, Reed could be pretty tough on Sue and he would actually have to instruct her in the use of her powers. But in retrospect, this made Sue more powerful and self reliant. Grant Morrison has just taken a very common and contradictory desire of us women to have both the romantic fantasy of being desired and protected and to be considered an equal.

I liked how this mini took a lot of the elements of the first 6 issues of the FF (minus the Miracle Man and the Skrulls) and looked at them in a different way. Namor teamed up with Doom but was promised Sue in return for his cooperation in against the FF. The Mole Man sends a creature to the surface that bursts through the pavement just as the cover of issue #1, which finally made that scene come to life because it never actually occurs in FF#1.

But to get back to Sue and Namor. There is no skipped scene where Namor and Sue have sex because Sue is in Alicia's apartment. Just because she is blind, that doesn't mean Namor and Sue are going to do it right there in front of her
The next thing that happens is that Johnny arrives at Alicia's to tell Sue that the monster sent by the Mole Man is attacking nearby. During the course of all this, Sue finds out that Namor made this alliance with Doom to get rid of Reed so that would leave Sue free to go off with him. Alicia reminded her earlier that Namor is a shark in human form and now Sue realizes that there is a this ruthless side that she glossed over while dwelling on the romantic fantasy of the undersea prince.

To each his own, I'll stick with the Sue telling off Reed that I see. And just maybe, perhaps Marvel is unwittingly reminding people of how subjetively-outdated concepts should be and perhaps remain as a constant even in these times.

Reed and Sue are the greatest couple of Marvel. No matter what they say, has been done and always will.

The scene of Sue with Namor and T'Challa are not canon. The whole plot of these books did not affect anything in the main book

I see Sue not only as having the pants in the relationship, but knowing she does. I think she must get her jollies and a sense of control knowing no other woman would marry Reed unless they were gold digging. Sue strikes me as the type of woman who needs to be needed and seeks out relationships where her partner is going to be at least somewhat dependent on her. Basically she's a Myers-Briggs ISFJ.

Reed is INTJ (or INTP), which makes the relationships in his life hard from the get go. He doesn't deal well with the illogical variables in relationships because they confuse and frustrate him, so he doesn't extend the trust he ought to. He's too busy trying to understand what's happening around him to pay attention to others emotions. He tries, god knows, but Reed is not marriage material; he likes his workshop and machines too much.

And now that it's over they can further develop Storm's character by introducing revealing she can't bear children anymore. Too much time has passed for her and her powers made it difficult for her to carry a baby to full term.
