And of course, they had to get some of the worse writers possible for the job. Wtf are they thinking?

I'm excited to see Dr Strange in a film. With today's technology they could do so much.

And bad writers attached to artistically failed movies for the most part.Normally I would have said forget Ant Man and Strange except for the SFX but with the strangulated budgets the chance of that being any good are slim to none. Unless they out source the production to Uzbekistan.

    Excited for this.
I'd love a good Doctor Strange movie.
I kind of remember a Dr. Strange movie a few decades back during the 80's or 90's.

Anyway, it could be really good and quite diferent from Marvel's other movies.

Look up the writers' past work on imdb. You may be disappointed.

Doctor Strange - very cool. Lots of potential. But from the writers of Sahara, A Sound of Thunder, and the most recent Conan...no, no! It's just gonna be a lot of runaround with Wong as a quirky kung-fu sidekick. I was so looking forward to a faithful adaptation of Steve Englehart's psychedelic-gothic Through An Orb Darkly from Doctor Strange Vol 2. Oh well...at least maybe they'll cast Olivia Thirlby as Clea.

I'm excited, but I would love for Marvel to take a chance on a female lead eventually.

Dr. Strange movie confirmed as phase 3? Despite everything, Marvel is giving the people what they want. Let's hope the people in charge produce an entertaining movie and I'll be good!

Too many characters weakens a movie.

Avengers sidestepped that by being a sequel to a bunch of solo movies, which was the first time we had seen that in Hollywood successfully.

Phase two is out to prove it's not a one-time thing.

Phase three, however, will expand the movie universe into "new corners" so as to not distract from The Avengers themselves or act as a second phase unit (i.e., Defenders).

In fact, the more I think about it, the more I can see this BEING the Defenders, what with the different rosters being flung at it over these last few years. Then they can do Avengers/Defenders, with Cap vs Panther, Thor vs Strange, Iron Man vs Ant-Man, Black Widow vs Iron Fist… Hulk would be good against Namor (who's also been rumoured for years), and Hawkeye can take on Daredevil or someone of that calibre.

A Black Widow movie would be very successful after what they did with her in The Avengers.

Loving Doctor Strange as I do, I'm really excited. Also cautious due to the writer's credentials, but Marvel Studios hasn't delivered a bad film yet.

I wonder who they'll cast as the good doctor.
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!

With the exception of The Avengers they haven't exactly released any good films either.

Which is why the rest of these upcoming films in the MCU without Wheadon's name on them have me remaining skeptical.
