Alonso: There are no current plans for Ava Ayala or Victor Alvarez, Spidey616, but it you’re looking for a Hispanic character to root for, there are always America Chavez – AKA Miss America -- in “Young Avengers,” Julio Esteban Richter -- AKA Rictor -- in “X-Factor,” Roberto da Costa -- AKA Sunspot -- in “Avenger,” and Iara Dos Santos -- AKA Sharkgirl – from “Wolverine and the X-Men,” and, of course, Miles Morales in “Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man.” Oh yeah, and last time I spoke with Dan Slott – hint-hint, nudge-nudge -- he said he could easily see Spider-Man bumping shoulders with my favorite Mexican super heroes: The Zapata Brothers.
I love how he forgot to mention Reptil. I guess there is nothing to brag about in the fact that one of the 6 hispanic heroes currently in an ongoing is featured in a Battle Royale comics.
Me: Please Marvel, give some spotlight to your 21th century creations instead of killing them every month.
    Marvel: Avengers Arena, lol!
    Classy as always, Marvel.

I'm guessing the father-Son dynamic will be the real sell story wise for Nova.

if its anything like USP with Miles and his dad that can be a great thing. really hoping for something that goes beyond cliches. i'd love to read a title thats light sci-fi funk but it needs substance.

I enjoyed ultimate X, felt mixed on the parts of x sanction and the latter parts of his hulk run, and didn't like the beginning of that run or ultimates 3 and ultimatum.

I'm in it for Ed's art and the tone it projects and I'm counting on jeph to make it worth my while to subscribe to this after the first issue (which is what I'd do if I wanted to get it,I don't buy 3.99 books monthly when i can get a discount)

don't let me down mr. Loeb, along with YA, x-men legacy and Avengers this has been a title I've been anticipating.
Steve Rogers: You ready to follow Captain America into the jaws of death?
James Barnes: Hell, no! The little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. I'm following him."

Glad they're putting so much effort into the cosmic universe. The Infinity Gauntlet was one of my favs when I was a kid (well the first few issues anyways with Perez).

No, but they are quite obviously "random brown people who speak funny languages" which of course is the REAL definition of Hispanic, amirite?

They're really trying hard to shove this new Nova down our throats. Sorry guys, no sell. Call me when Rich Rider shows back up.

Completely frustrated that Gamora's regularly drawn in her original costume on cover art, but she looks nothing like Gamora in her new uniform. The new uniform (and brown hair wtf??) show a complete lack of understanding about her character.

Nova looks interesting. Too bad Marvel has such an insane pricing policy. I just can't pay $4 for a book when I can get 2 for that much anywhere else.

Well according to my biological mom, we are considered latino. I think the only difference between hispanic and latino is that hispanic is suppose to be spanish speakers, not sure.

You beat me to it. I don't know about Sharkgirl since I don't read WATXM, but Sunspot (and I assume Sharkgirl as well) speaks Portuguise (sp). This is why I prefer to use the term "Latino" instead of "Hispanic" when referring to anyone from Latin American and Caribean countries who speak either Spanish or Portuguise.

smart. 27 dollars for 12 marvel comics is the only way to go now. i can wait a few extra days. its pretty easy to switch titles in the middle of a subscription too. i will get an issue from the store before i make a decision on this title though.
