Over the years, especially during the Silver Age, Jimmy Olsen was one messed up character!! He went through stuff that made even Lois Lane's life look tame!!

But changing Jimmy to Jenny for the movie wouldn't bother me at all. Or maybe Jimmy is picking up a twin sis in the new movie????

Given this history, it wouldnt be out of place for Jimmy to be bisexual or a drag queen. Personally, I'd think it'd be funny, but the howls from certain segments of fandom......

They should do it.

It would be perfectly all right with me if they did. I'd also be okay with it if Jimmy got switched by a voodoo witch doctor or if he fell into the spring of drowned girl reporter.

Although I prefer Jimmy in the comics (every guy needs a male friend that he can "pal" around with); I am OK with the movie having Jenny Olsen as a character (It reflects the modern day reality better, because more girls than guys get college degrees). I actually had the thought that Chloe Sullivan might make a movie appearance, so I am a little disappointed that she isn't there.
