Is it just me, or does Thor look feminine (his eyes and mouth) in the Avenger's preview? The way he's eying Hyperion and offering him alcohol....No! Stay away Hyperion, he's trying to roofie you!

Ah, Hickman is migrating A.I.M. from Fantastic Four to Avengers. At least they updated their ridiculous beekeeper headgear. And I must say Marvel and Hyperion look like a good power couple.

Default No cover joke this week, although the Cap Intro cover would have been sweet.

Avengers #4 (I remember when comics used to come out once a month, not every freaking day like they do now. Why back in my day we had 12 issues a year and they could count to over a hundred! Goldangit all to heck.)
Hawkeye #7 (As much as I love this book, I do have to say I am not happy with the logo. The hurricane inspired shuffling of letters is a nice touch, but generally, the letters are plain with an annoying mix of upper and lower case. the lower case H has an arrow point on the top? and the [I'm asuuming] target inspired dot in the A look blah to me. Covers, art and story all excellent though)

Wonder what happened to the final issue of Secret Avengers before the relaunch.

Wow, that sucks. I'll only be getting Avengers #4, but technically I'll have to wait for a copuple of weeks to recieve a bigger shipment of comics. Bummer.

    Avengers#4 and Dark Avengers#186
The Jeff Parker's story line is very very fun, and these new "Avengers" are my favorite Avengers title.

Great point. Despite the great writers in this first volume it has been anything but consistent. Events have often derailed storylines especially on Remender's run where it was like AvsX tie-ins were like a longass broadcasting test in the middle of the storyline. There was no sort of natural flow on the first volume. No blame to the writers in general. Love me some Remender but his run here just wasn't given that uninterrupted flow he had on Uncanny X-Force. Part of my problem with Events is interrupting storylines in a title like Secret Avengers. While the title could use that boost in sales the storylines often got ruined for me because of events barging in. I'm really looking forward to Nick Spencer's take and a more focused team/mission of Secret Avengers. They really will be secret. Can't wait to see what trouble they will get themselves into. Wonder why Black Widow would sign up for this with having her head so messed with for so long. Especially over in Winter Soldier. Maybe she feels she is so messed up that it doesn't matter at this point. She's perfect for the stealth and all just messing with her mind I can see her being very reluctant to go through that.

Weird about the long wait between issues 2 & 3 and 3,4,5 come out week after week after week. Guess there was an art delay and then they caught up so making up for the schedule? I have no problems with it though as I love the title. I'd much rather have more Avengers than the long wait between #2 and #3.
