It's "date night" at the Jean Grey School For Higher Learning, which in Jason Aaron and David López's "Wolverine & The X-Men" #24 apparently means a surprising amount of making out (and attempted making out).

Yet again with the "I don't like" = "this is bad writing" theory
She constantly disapoints. I have honestly never felt this way about any other reviewer ever
Jason Aaron just said on his Twitter feed that Kitty/Bobby is only beginning. So the whole notion that they didn't work on their first date is inaccurate. But I do agree that the sequence with Kid Omega and Jean Grey was bizarre. I'm glad Jean Grey didn't respond to his advances, but I get the feeling Quentin will continue harassing her and the O5. As for Storm/Wolverine, I don't think it was editorially mandated or anything. I don't think it was forced either. There are whole websites and feeds dedicated to Storm/Wolverine that show their long romantic history. If anything, them hooking up is overdue. Now that Storm's relationship with Black Panther is over, I think Wolverine is just what she needs and vice versa. I hope Aaron develops this relationship seriously because it has always been teased, but never explored. If nothing else, it'll keep Wolverine from being too creepy around a teenage Jean Grey.

Well, particularly in the Claremont punk X-Men days, I got the strong sense that Storm/Wolverine wasn't so much a romantic relationship as "friends with benefits"... be interesting to see if they can transition it to something else, similar to Kitty and Bobby trying out something different. Seems like the couple shipping that fans love to do are such idealistic teenager notions of a relationship and the types of relationships Aaron is exploring here is something a lot less grandiose and a lot more complex and adult.
I agree with the sense that the relationship is editorially mandated and totally blows.

I agree that I wish more of this issue would have shown the ridiculousness of the teachers night out. I'm not a fan of any of the pairings that were showcased here, and again the fact that you have Rachel and Jean in the same issue but not interacting is pathetic.

Not gonna read the review but I thought the issue sucked.

Its not so much as the relationship cant work or didnt have potential its just under the current Marvel the timing IMHO stinks. Ororo and him have had hardly any interaction with each other in years and the few there was animosity. Plus you got Logan ending up with Betsy in the future and his "true love" is Jean who he is sexing up in AoA and obsessing over in All New. I cant take this guy seriously. If this was set up as a true open relationship then maybe I'd buy it because I'm pro poly relationships. But its been written that Logan goes through women like booze because he can never have the woman he truly wanted - Jean Grey. So thats why it seems forced to me.

That is so wrong. Can't CBR find someone with some knowledge about the X-Men to review their books?Similarly, the Storm and Wolverine relationship feels unnatural. So much of Aaron's writing feels so effortless, but Storm and Wolverine in this issue feel like editorial mandate that he's being forced to "make work." That awkwardness doesn't even include the utterly bizarre Quentin Quire/Jean Grey sequence.
How is this Jean suppose to be 12? Or is she not twelve in this book so Quintin can creep on her?
He is around sixteen years old right? It would be sick if Jean was 12 in this book as well.
