Oh my mistake then. It was before my time and never taught in school so I wasn't aware it was in Iraq.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.

Does Hydra have any actual motives, or are they just EEEVVVVIIIILLLLL?

I think they're fed up with the government and they want to bring it down.

    Say it ain't so!

Say, this ain't a bad issue either. Nor was Hawkeye's new duds - were they anything like the ones in Heroes Reborn?

Not a bad cover. Not a bad character in Nails, to root for.

    Questions:
Do we know Commander Crimson from past stories?
Is 'The Torch' obviously the last Infinity Gem containment unit?
Who is Nick and Monica's baby??
Wouldn't it have been better to be told what state Sue and Thor landed in?
Should we know, most likely, who the Whackos in those tubes are?
How are people guessing Hawkeye will survive a point blank shot after that not to shabby dramatic cliffhanger?

They are not new. They are pretty old actually.

Do we know Commander Crimson from past stories?
No but we have seen Ultimate Madame Hydra.

Who is Nick and Monica's baby??
Julius Chang. He has been around since Ultimate Avengers.

Because he is on the cover of a future ultimates issue. But then again when have ultimate covers ever been accurate right. lol

Also I'm pretty sure Scorpio isn't the real Nick Fury. If I can get into the mind of Humphries which isn't too hard. lol. someone probably stole Nick's bio-camo.

I finally got around to reading this issue. While Humphries is getting better overall, his dialogue is still abysmal. What is his obsession with writing something about football into every issue?

The art was pretty good aside from Hawkeye's terrible costume and the obscenely bright colors. The UU shouldn't have a bright palette like all of these colorists on the UU post-Hickman are giving it. It really is bringing the book down. =\

    6.5/10
Ultimate Comics • Aquaman • Batman • Batman, Inc. • Batman and Robin • Justice League • Wonder Woman • Star Trek Ongoing • Morning Glories • Saga

That's a terrible, unmotivated cliche of an agenda.

But you're probably right. The Ultimate writers nowadays are writing their characters with emotional responses like they don't make the slightest bit of sense. Like Kitty Pryde in UCXM, who recently has become argumentative for arguments sake. In real life, people are ALWAYS precise in their motivations, even when incorrect. If a character acts irrationally, it should make logical sense, at least from their perspective. People don't just go "Right, I'm fed up with the government. Lets's risk all our lives to try and bring it down." There needs to be a solid reason as to why they wish to commit bloody vengance. For example, you only ever see nations go to war like this if they've been deprived of something or if their desperate to feed themselves or their loved ones. But according to Humphries' writing so far, the people of Hydra seem to have all their necesseties reasonably sustained. Their motivations simply don't make the slightest bit of sense.

Yeesh, I know this applies more to 19, but how many times are we gonna do the "Nick Fury is a traitor" thing? The fact that this Scorpio is such a blatant homage to classic Fury means we know it's never going to be as simple as him being the real Fury, so why waste our time? And if somehow he IS the real Ult Fury, then that's just lazy writing, what would the point be? (Also I can't remember when we last so Fury, was it as long ago as him jumping off the Helicarrier?)
