She's under the Red Skull's control at the start, but gets restored to normal and helps out in the Avengers' fight against Skull's goons.

I think this issue was extremely depressing. I know it was supposed to be the villain's moment of terror, but this was flat out dark and miserable. Why would anyone bother to save this universe?

If anything, it'll probably make the villain's downfall all the more satisfying.

Not really.

So far in comics, I have rarely seen a villain downfall match the horrible deeds they have done. A punch in the face doesn't equal slaughtering innocents.

Honestly? Remender focuses too much on the dark and bleak to make me hopeful of the reason they are fighting. This issue was just really damn depressing.

Whether you're talking about UA or Avengers, I think that would be an extremely minority opinion. Cassaday and Opena both killed it in their respective issues. Two beautiful books.

I was a bit miffed at that as well, but w/e. I guess Thor got to do some cool things here, so I can't complain about every little thing.

Okay. I've been saying it-- I really like Uncanny Avengers. I thought issue 1 and 2 were good. But honestly, this issue I probably need to read again before I can give my full opinion on it. It was extremely busy. A lot of moments that were subtle but very big and important. I think some of exposition may have been more distracting than it was worth, and again, the issue was busy. Action packed, but busy. Cassaday is a great story teller, so he managed that part so well, but I need to read it again.
