I clicked on the link to Hickman's formspring a few pages ago, and I found this awesome little gem that I thought was relevant to this thread:
"The idea that Thor has to suffer for Hulk to shine is beyond dumb.

on to sunspot. i think hickman actually did a great job with him in this issue. i was against x-men joining this group, but the writer seems to have a solid grasp on sunspot's classic personality. if he keeps writing him that consistently, then that's pretty awesome.

Having Bobby hit on Smoocher in the middle of the fight really helps to frame his rationales for joining, in the second issue.

You NEED too - it's perfect. In every way shape and form - absolutely perfect. It's how Bobby and Sam should always be written. And it's why I was so pumped to see Bobby and Sam on the Avengers, despite my general dislike for the team. I know as long as it's Hickman writing them, they'll be alright. The moment he leaves though - the two of them NEED to return to the X-Books.

And, to Pups - Roberto isn't JUST a gloryhound. He's been heroing since he was 13 with the X-men, and despite the 'retiring' rhetoric, you know he'd be back fighting the good fight eventually. So, with or without the Avengers/ladies/etc, he'd still be a hero. He just decided to hero with the Avengers over the X-men because the former have it easier in terms of recognition. Kind of like: Damn, I'm going to be doing this anyway, so I might as well get laid in the process.

i think monica got invaded by the uni-force and became an amnesiac.

if captain universe is not monica, then marvel has got some series branding issues they need to work out.
