Young Avengers #1 *Spoilers*

This book was awesome and all the haters can suck it.

Kate was awesome, Noh-Varr made me laugh and Billy and Teddy acted like teenagers in an intensely love-filled relationship...extremely emotional and prone to doing rash things for the other person. So what if they're super emotional and sickeningly in love with each other? THEY'RE 17 FOR GOD's SAKE.

When I was 17, my girlfriend (at the time) and I were pretty sickeningly in love with each other too.

Really didn't get enough here to judge MAC and Loki yet.

Story = great.
Art = great.

The ending of the book bothered me not at all.

I believe that scene is implying that MAC (from another reality right) is from a reality where she was in love with Hulking and she showed up in this one to protect Wiccan (since loki tried to recruit her to kill Wiccan). Her seeing Hulking seemed to shake her up, thus her hesitation when he appeared allowing Loki to exit stage left. Just a theory floating in my head.

I had a similar idea but with Wiccan and Hulkling switched.

Awww. Can't you just say "Those who enjoyed it less than others might have their own reasons, but I still liked it"? Getting told to suck it just because I thought certain aspects of the book ( the same facial expressions being recycled between all the characters and Billy and Teddy's scene) could have been better is harsh. It's not hate, just stuff that didn't effect me as much as a reader. If I hated it, I'd be telling everyone it sucked, instead of saying: "I'm not the target audience."

For some reason I got a kick out of the use of "writes" and "arts" in the credits.

This book was so much fun. The ending surprised me a lot, and the character beats were great. Miss America Chavez is a star.

I really, really want Miss America's jacket and shoes. Her design is definitely my favorite out of all of them, and her boots are made for kicking ass. OMG! I love her costume! It's so functional and cute! My favorite part is just easy she would be to cosplay! I wonder if that was intentional on the creative team's part?

What did she really do though? She was barely there and then she was gone. She's dialing it up on the mystery.

She's the book's fun. She barely append, but she stood out to me. That is what makes a star. Her one scene was great.

After these months of hype though, she could have at least been rude to Teddy. He gave her a really easy opening just by talking.

Yanapryde is doing up "casual wear" YA fan art at the moment, taking cues from modern fashion blogs. I've had a sneak preview. Its ace.

My ass-kickers are knee-high black leather with a 1-inch block heel. I'm much more of a Kate than a Miss America, though.

Can't wait to see McKelvie Kate in her gear!

I thought it was cool she wasn't rude to him, though. I mean, after all these months, she was sorta set up to be a huge bitch, but then she comes off much more human and relatable in this issue.

Totally! Kate is gonna rock her YA look. MAC is awesome but Kate is the true star of this show.
