What's an old game you'd like to see get a modern update?

My criteria for modern would be graphics on par with what can be done for 2D games. Games like "Castlevania II: Simon's Quest", "Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse" and "Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge", in a manner like "Castlevania Adventure: Rebirth". I'd also like to see games like "Ghosts N' Goblins"/"Ghouls N' Ghosts", "Crystalis" and "Spy Hunter".

So did I. I tried to watch it last year and it just did not hold up for me. Yet Gleaming the Cube did oddly enough.

It does for me, even though it's clearly a film of it's time and more appealing to younger viewers. Course, the dated aspect would hurt that.

Not postive on this, but i think the company who owns SNK doesn't do anything but do collections fo old games, so i wouldn't count on a new crystalis.

I always thought they should have done a 3D streets of rage back during the PS2 and XBOX time period. not sure how it would work out today, as in the graphics being to much for the original game play.

Carrier Command definitely needs a remake.

A very old turn based strategy game called Chaos (done by Julian Gallop, who eventually went on to do the first XCom game) could also really do with an update, as could Shadowfire, and old 8-bit C64 (and ZX Spectrum) title that was one of the first games to use an icon driven interface.

Personally speaking, I'd love to see an updated version of Skool Daze, but I don't expect anyone here to remember it.

Other old ZX Spectrum games I'd love to see updated would be Saboteur, Tir Na Nog and, the greatest Return of the Jedi ripoff ever, 3D Deathchase.

Karnov had some bizarre enemies. You were a fat man who breathed fire. That would be..interesting. As I look back now, maybe a "modern update" was the wrong thing to offer up. Perhaps it should have been "8bit & 16bit that should be played". Sort of like required reading in school.

Has anyone mentioned Road Rash? The original three games were great. The N64 game was also good, but it was all circuit racing. Not the long straight racing like the original. XBL and PSN should release a download for RR with updated graphics and online play.

I think Parasite Eve should get a remake. Great story, great visuals one of the best psone RPGs.
