My absolute favorite comic book run would have to be the Silver Age Adam Strange by Gardner Fox.
Adam Strange: Planet Heist by Andy Diggle in second place.
My first reaction to seeing the New 52:
    No Adam Strange?

    Tim Truman's Hawkworld.

If minis don't count, then Johns/Gray and Palmiotti's Hawkman. I also love, love, love Tony Isabella's Hawkman run, but his time with it was so brief that it's practically a maxi-series.

Marc Andreyko's Manhunter is also a series I never see mentioned enough. The last couple of arcs were pretty average, but the rest of the series was extremely entertaining, as were the back-ups featured in Streets of Gotham.
