"Less like Heinberg, more like Skins" (to badly paraphrase) is exactly the sort of thing I'm happy to hear.

It's interesting to note that the Comicvine reviewer confesses his bias due to his hardcore love of Heinberg & Cheung's YA in his article's comments.

I'm only a little worried cause of my lukewarm feelings towards Iron Man... I really hope YA doesn't suffer like Tony currently is.

He doesn't though. It's brought up in the comments, not his article.

I am living for this book. I cannot fathom a better creative team driving this book forward.
There are four stages of matter. Solid. Liquid. Gas & Don't. It's science.

Agreed. I'd contemplated re-reading Children's Crusade in preparation for tomorrow, but ultimately decided that it's best to approach this with fresh eyes. There's no comparison.

I decided to read Vengeance as preparation and immediately regretted it

Totally agreed. It's why I put them all in the OP. The creative team are as much the stars of the book as the characters. ♥ ♥ ♥

Awww. I'm not really into gritty melodrama like Skins. I want more from the comic than young people with problems.

Journey Into Mystery should be the one to look at.

(This isn't going to end well for the kids.)
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

I'm looking forward to this. I may just reread the last issue of Children's Crusade to refresh my memory of where these characters last were.

I know, Wanda repowered Rictor, but not Marrow. What a witch. Also, you don't need to reference how much you miss Stature every single time CC is mentioned.
