For me in my Opinion, Jim Lee Art in the 90's is a legacy for anyone that grew up in the 90's.
1st, any fan that got into comics, espically X-men around that time saw either Jim Lee Artwork or other Artist that had similiar styles at the time. The writing and plost are of a different story, but always the Art leaves a lasting impression that speaks volumes for itself.
It was also very apperent either by accident or design that the 1990's animated show style of animation seem to come from this artstyle of Lee's as well or seemed like that. That show was responsible, I know it was for me, in making a whole new generation of X-Fans. So the 1990's does have a pretty good legacy, if I am getting to the dicussion right, of bringing in new X-fans, even though their was allot of sillyness as well.
But really, every decade has silliness when you think about it, it comes with the teritory, LOL.
Sorry PiX, but that's all I had time for right now. Needless to say, I disagree with almost everything else you posted, as well. I promise to respond in kind to the rest ASAP. In the meantime though, I dedicate the following vid to you, to hold us over:
