See, now we're talking! If ever there were a character to give Ali a run for her money- it's this broad. Kicks higher, throws a bigger tantrum, is totally shiny. Shame about that hair, though.

There's a unique dynamic between the women selected for Wood's book. Introducing anyone else into the mix would damage it. Again, this isn't just a random assemblage of female heroes as with Fearless Defenders. It's these specific characters, their relationships, and their shared history that makes the book so intriguing. Only Emma and Dazzler are compatible candidates, with Dani and Magma possible additions, but it still works better without them.

Also stop trying to make Wanda happen. She's not an X-Man, and Jubilee would instantly (and deservedly) tear her apart for destroying her life.

Indeed. This book is going to work based on the relationships of these 6 specific characters.

None of these ladies really know Pixie, Armor, etc., all that well.

Something might be said for the possibility of using this book to build new relationships, but for launch, these 6 make perfect sense.

Even older characters like Polaris and Dazzler don't really add to the dynamic because they don't have the history. polaris has barely interacted with these ladies over the years, and during every one of Dazzler's tenures, she was just kind of there hanging around not doing much or weaving herself into the fabric of the team.

Emma and Magik would make more sense, but they're off dealing with their own issues over in Evil X-Men at the moment.

The 6 characters chosen are as perfect a cast as I can imagine for his book.

That said, a little Tessa always makes things better.

I wanted to put something drawn by Coipel to have a better idea of a what a grouposhot would look like if she really was on the team.

I also prefer your version... having her sit next to Jubilee just balances out the composition better than having her stand in the forefront with the others.
