    Default PREVIEW: Nova #1

Marvel is pleased to present your first look at NOVA #1 from the chart-topping, award-winning creative team of Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness! You met Sam Alexander, the all-new Nova, in the pages of last year's blockbuster hit Avengers VS X-Men-but what is his secret origin? How is he connected to the Guardians of the Galaxy? And just why is Sam the only one worthy to carry on the legacy of the Nova Corps? These answers reveal shocking secrets about the Marvel Universe and help set the stage for the biggest comic book event of the year!

Each issue of Nova includes a code for a free digital copy on the Marvel Comics app (for iPhone®, iPad®, iPad Touch® & Android devices) and in the Marvel Digital Comics Shop. Additionally, each issue of Nova features special augmented reality content available exclusive through the Marvel AR app - including cover recaps, behind the scenes features and more that add value to your reading experience at no additional cost.

This February, Jeph Loeb & Ed McGuinness bring the Marvel Universe face to face with Sam Alexander in Nova #1!

Geez, we traded Rich Rider for this?

This really doesn't seem like it should be a $4 book.

Maybe having words would change my mind, but that preview slides me more in the direction of not wanting to get the comic.

You know, I'd rather have Rich Rider as Nova but there could be room for more than one Nova seeing as the whole Nova corps thing is basically a rip off of the Green Lantern Corps and DC is doing just fine with four major GL's. Obviously if Starlord and Thanos are coming back, Rich won't be far behind so just give it time and lets see how the book actually is.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.

"Peter Parker in space" looks boring.

I know I shouldn't be excited, but it's Loeb and McGuiness! Buying this on day one.

I'm willing to give this a chance but I hope to God it's not another "bullied kid gets massive power" story.

It's been done to death at this point. If anyone wants to read about a teen hero done right, they should read the current Ultimate Spider-man title.

Heck, Loeb should that read that title and get pointers from it.

That being said, it's McGuiness drawing and that's a big plus for me.

I love the art, but the whole Nova kid thing, I dunno, I was skeptical about Miles at first but now I really like him maybe the can pull off something similar with Nova kid :/ I kinda wish Nova kid was Andy Maguire instead of... that kid? maybe the 2 of them should team up and get beat up together :D

I'll check out the first issue. Ed's work looks like it's really taken a new turn, I like it.
