Default Should Dan Slott take over as writer of Spawn?

Given Dan's incredible accomplishment on Spider-Man, do you feel that Dan's talents should be applied to Image's Spawn working closely with Todd McFarlane as well as doing Supreme or Savage Dragon with Erik Larson? I could also see him doing a Deadpool series as well. Do you agree?

Yes as long as that means giving up Spider-Man. Let me know when he's gone

Uh.....why Spawn? Slott's never had a particular penchant for the magical, mystical or darker leanings in his work.

Yeah, , I don't see Dan on Spawn being a good fit at all. Plus he is doing an incredible job on Spidey so I don't see him going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't want Slott to leave Spider-man anytime soon.

Why do you believe Slott would be a good fit for Spawn, Supreme or Deadpool?

It seems unlikely that Erik Larsen will take a co-writer for Savage Dragon.

This topic feels a bit random for this part of the forum.... wouldn't this be better suited for the Image Comics section?

No. Because this topic has to do with the current Spider-Man writer expanding his wings. And it also has Deadpool as a potential project that I could see Dan doing. And I feel that Savage Dragon, Spawn, and Deadpool apply toward Superior Spider-Man.

Just my opinion, was a bit surprised to see this title here but anyway I haven't read much of Spawn so can't comment. Though with recent developments, I would like to see what else Slott has in store for the future of Superior Spider-Man so my answer would be no at this time. As for what I could see him doing, Deadpool could be a possibility. Slotts done She-Hulk and now Spider-Man so there does seem to be a bit of a trend for a funny witty character. Not saying thats always the case but just basing it on those two runs.

That's cool. Nothing wrong with addressing your concerns. I didn't mean to take your response the wrong way.

Besides, I think that Dan is doing a fantastic job with Spider-Man. I hope he stays on for as long as it holds his interest.

Yep -- and it's quite enjoyable, I think.

Slott brings a certain humor into books that I don't think would fit the aura of Spawn who a very dark brooding character.
