Don't tell me we need to read this drivel to follow H'El.

I know the art is supposed to be skewed and distorted but that is really bad.

This might be the one Superboy book that I think I can read. The art isn't really bad to be till it gets to the usual art of the book (awful).

I like the concept of the story though so it's a buy.

Well there's no less than 4 artists on this book, so expect it to be even more jarring when you get into it.

And still the usual crummy writing by the looks of it.

DEAR LORD THAT'S DREADFUL. why is everything said in the first 4 pages a recap IN EVERY ISSUE.Why do all the characters sound like they're in a crappy kids cartoon. CANCEL THIS BOOK, have the character flesh out a little in Teen Titans, hire a decent writer, than relaunch the book from there.

I think I'm burnt out with cross-overs. I think that's why I've been enjoying Action Comics when it comes to Superman recently. We don't have to worry about digging into 2-3 other titles just to follow what's going on, especially the HIGHLY anticipated New Krypton storyline (plus WONK), a cross-over where I didn't miss ONE issue that ended in underwhelming fashion. That's still fresh to me so I'm just not interested in cross-overs right now. I'll continue my Superman title, but unless it's a MUST issue, I'm staying out of the Superboy, Supergirl books for now.

Scott Lobdell and Tom DeFalco did one of the worst cross overs I've ever had the misfortune to read (The culling), then gets a gig with Superman, continues it's trend of mediocrity, and now is again doing an awful crossover with Tom Defalco that, again, is so rushed and poorly structured that it needs an annual to keep the story moving forward. History repeats itself, it seems. I keep waiting for an appearance from Harvest to truly hammer the nil into the coffin.

I will say this for Defalco: He's at least getting down Superboy's voice so he's got a little dimension to him. Everyone else is still bland but I'll give him that much.

Clearly mischaracterized. Nobody corrects Batman, because he's never wrong.

With all due respect man, you just come off as way too defensive. I'm not claiming to be a better writer nor artist, and I don't think many others are either. But that doesn't necessarily mean that one can't be critical of what they think isn't the sharpest writing in the world. I know DeFalco has a tendency to get bagged on a lot but that just comes with the territory sometimes. No ill wishes to anyone who does enjoy it a lot. Hell I don't even hate it. His writing feels too generic for my tastes, but I haven't found the title to be a complete chore to read. I just think it could be better.

No but we/they are the consumers and have every right to express their/our distaste for the product that we are expected us to buy. You just like everyone else here have expressed your dislike for a product because you didn't fancy it; be it music, TV, comic whatever. If you think it's bad then you think it's bad.

What you can do is engage in debate with someone who thinks it's bad by presenting why you think it's good. But you don't have to and not everyone wants to.

Try not to get worked up over this. If you like it then what else really matters?
