There are legitimate arguments and double-standards they bring to light, but it does get lost in the chest beating and howling. But I see that on both sides, so I tend to ignore it all.

Makes you wonder what they think counts as a right, doesn't it?

The right not to have uppity chicks talk about awful stuff like sexism, because of course sexism doesn't exist anymore.

Except not really. Men undeniably hold a vast supermajority of of the world's power and influence. The very idea of men being in danger of losing their rights because of their gender is utterly and completely laughable.

Even the 'double standards' that often get brought up are more the result of male culture backfiring than anything the feminist movement's done.

I've been reading The Female Man by Joanna Russ, written way back in 1975 and buggered if her vicious rants at male/female social expectations don't sound like stuff I've seen women rant about online last month.

Okay, the net has less stream-of-consciousness rants.

No. Battered husbands do exist. It is not as prevalent as battered wives, but they do exist, and they do receive their own share of scorn when they become public.

As do deadbeat moms and fathers that are the better choice for the child(ren). The big thing is that is happen is the judges are slowly catching up to the cultural changes that happened it the 70s. I don't think it is all of them, but many(more so with the older ones) have the Mom as the default parent in there heads and its the fathers job to prove her unfit(or less fit then him), this many be more of a rural thing then a across the board thing.
I'm not liberal, liberals have beliefs. I'm a democrat, the only belief I have is that republicans are wrong.
